Lacey

Lacey has been sick since we returned from our troop camping trip.  After having a fever for 5 days, yesterday I decided to get her to the doctor.  The doctor listened to her lungs and quickly discovered that Lacey was rattley. The doctor said she wanted to see a chest x-ray to see if Lacey has pneumonia.  We went right over to Penrad and had the x-ray done.  Within a couple of hours Dr. Wortheimer called and confirmed that Lacey has pneumonia.  She's on antibiotics now and starting to feel a little better.  She still has an awful cough that sounds terrible.  Doc said no cough meds but to give her honey.  It's supposed to help with the cough.  It actually worked last night. I hope she feels alot better tomorrow.

May June 2011

The past few weeks have been exciting and fun. I worked at the school the whole month of May as a sub lunch monitor.  That was ok but I wouldn't do the whole school year.  A little boring.  Sam has kept me busy with pet sitting.  Several visits almost every week.  I went to a Girl Scout trainers retreat weekend at Hamp Hut.  That was fun to have a sleepover with other women.  I learned alot and took some great pictures.

The end of the school year was fun for the girls.  Lacey had strep throat the second week in May.  Shelby tested high and top girl in her class for math and reading.  Shelby had to choose a "talent" or "teach the teacher" and she guinea pigs.  She learned all about them and showed them to her class.  Porkchop and Spike had a nice time at school.

The week after school ended we headed to Grandpa's for a visit.  Courtney and Averie came along.  We visited, hung out in the yard and put a tent up. (we were borrowing the tent for our Girl Scout camp out).

A few days after Grandpa visit the Girl Scout troop had a yard sale.  It was pretty good.  Everything was donated and we made about $200.

The very next day we were off to the Service Unit Picnic at Black Forest Regional Park.  We ate and visited then played some very messy games.

We had a fun couple of weeks.  More in the next post.
